Puzzle Solutions

Lost Woods

“It’s dark and I keep hearing strange noises. This forest is haunted and I hate it” -Farmer Tom

The lost woods are organized in a 3 x 3 grid.

Fallen Tree

Once players enter the fallen tree area, a rockslide will block their exit, at this point, the path becomes linear.

To continue after the rockslide, players need to find the axe hidden to the right of the fallen tree, and then use the axe to chop the fallen tree in half. This will unblock the gate and allow the players to continue.

Well

The door to the barn is locked, a key rests on the edge of the well. When players reach for the key, it will fall into the well, requiring the players to lower the bucket into the well and get the key back. When the barn doors are unlocked, players can open the door and continue into the barn.

Barn

A pile of leaves sits in the middle of the barn, when a player reaches into the leaves, the cat will jump out and run away. After a few seconds, the alien ship will hover over the barn and abduct the players.

Specimen Lab

Abducted by a flying saucer and trapped by some kind of force field, how much worse can this get?

Cutscene The players will awake inside the alien ship, surrounded by a force field that will stun the players if they touch it. an egg sac will lower from the ceiling and launch a parasite into the players. Shortly after this, Wiskers the cat will appear on a table just outside the force field and start scratching at a cable causeing the force field to flicker. Wiskers will then strike the cable and break the players free. Players can now begin solving puzzles.

4 Digit Console Players must place the 4 molecules in the correct rotation to activate the next puzzle, the solution to this puzzle is revealed in the Cyan brain jar hologram.

Molecule Cube The molecules in the cube need to be placed in the proper position and rotation so that they overlap the orange spots shown on the outside of the puzzle. Solving this puzzle opens a specimen pod, where an alien captive will fall out and hang limply into the playspace

Sound vocalizer The spheres to the left of the panel contain an audio wave. players need to play the Green brain jar hologram to see the solution. While the hologram is playing, players can line up the blue hologram with the red memory hologram. Solving this puzzle activates the portal next to it, providing players with an empty brain jar, and the brain extractor.

Opening the door Placing the brain extractor on the alien captive will begin a cutscene where the machine extracts its brain, players then can take the brain, place it in the empty jar, and plug it into the hologram projector to get the code for the door.

Gravity Chamber

The door is locked by why what looks like a hand scanner, but there is no way a human hand will even fit in this thing

First thing players need to do is place their hands in the console that is lit with a hologram of an alien arm. This will attach a gravity worm onto their right hand, Pulling the trigger on the controller will now activate the worm, when the beam connects to an object that can be grabbed, it will then tether to that object, holding it at the distance it was when it was tethered. pulling or pushing the rod on the side of the worm will pull or push the object. if the object is pulled all the way towards the worm, it will be launched when the trigger is released.

The primary goal of this room is to learn how the gravity worm works by destroying all the nodes in the room, each node releases one of the 8 door claws.

First Node: Next to the Entrance Portal This node does not require anything special to get to. Players just need to hold a Bomb Sac near the node until it explodes

Second Node: On the Bomb Sac Dispenser This node does not require anything special to get to. Players just need to hold a Bomb Sac near the node until it explodes

Third Node: Inverted gravity Chamber Players need to have gravity set to up in the room and throw a Bomb Sac into the open of the chamber, the Bomb Sac should fall next to the node

Fourth Node: Inverted Gravity Catch Tubes Players need to have gravity set to down, drop a Bomb Sac into the tube, then catch the Bomb Sac with a Gravity Worm. Then a player needs to set gravity to up and the player holding the Bomb Sac can release it, the Bomb Sac will fall next to the node

Fifth Node: Sticky Sac Cables The Sticky Sacs are available to use once Node 1 and Node 3 are destroyed. Players need to place the Sticky Sacs on the cable that leads to the Fifth Node. Since the Bomb Sac cannot fit into the chamber, players have to hold the Bomb Sac next to the entrance until it explodes and detonates the Sticky Sacs. The goal is to have the Sticky Sacs chain react to reach the Node.

Sixth Node: Exit Portal Node Players need to place a Bomb Sac into the Entrance Portal. It will teleport to the Exit Portal and destroy the node inside the container, releasing the Exit Portal

Seventh Node: Inverted T Tubes Players need to place the Exit Portal into the Tubes with gravity set to down, then place a Bomb Sac into the Entrance Portal. Since the portals maintain the Bomb Sac momentum, players can direct the output towards the Node. Or, they can push the portal towards the node with an explosion, and then teleport the next Bomb Sac directly onto the Node

Eighth Node: Ceiling Tubes First players need to remove the blockage at the entrance of the Tubes. This can be done by having 2 Gravity Worms pull on it at the same time, or explode a Bomb Sac next to it. With gravity set to up, place the Exit Portal into the tubes, Players can then place Bomb Sacs into the Entrance Portal until either the explosions direct the portal towards the Node, or the Bomb Sacs get there with momentum and destroy the node.

Once the door opens, the alien will open the door and attack the players. Players can stop the alien in multiple ways:

  • pushing the door button
  • using the gravity worm to force the door closed
  • placing a bomb sac on the Alien
  • waiting for the cutscene to end

The door will close on the aliens arm and cut it off, players can then use the hand on the hand scanner to complete the room

Power Core

This room must be important with how much security we had to get through. Let’s start breaking things and see where that goes…

To start the boss fight, players need to use the gravity worm to launch a plasma ball at one of the nodes visible around the room. Once the first node is destroyed, a cutscene will play where the alien enters the room with Wiskers the cat inside a force field. The Alien will then activate a defense turret that will begin firing plasma balls at the players. Players need to catch these balls with their gravity worms and use them to destroy the rest of the nodes. This will destroy the power core and the explosion will burn off the gravity worm. The door behind the players will open, sending them to the last room

Specimen Lab on Fire

The parasite is gone, and their ship is burning. Lets hope we can figure out how to leave.

There will be a button the players need to press to have their parasites removed. A cutscene will play that shows the parasite being beamed out of them.

After the cutscene, a hologram will appear above a panel showing the tractor beam returning an alien to the ground. the panel will be another 4 digit code the players do not know.

The door will open with the one armed alien swiping at the players, damaging them if they are too close.

The players have to use the brain extractor to get the aliens brain, and play the memory of the code to use the tractor beam. Once they have put in the code, they have acheived victory, and the ending cutscene plays.

The room lights up with the tractor beam and the floor opens up. Wiskers the cat quicky jumps out the open door and begins to lower with the players.

The scene changes to the forest the players were abducted from with Wiskers the cat sitting in the center of the playspace. Above the players, the alien ship explodes and crashes into the distance.

The players, who are fire fighters, should immediately realize they now have to deal with the forest fire they probably just started.
